HOW TO REMOVE A DASHBOARD INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FROM A HONDA ACCORD

Greetings, viewers. Eric the Car Guy here. Today, we're going to remove the gauge cluster on this Honda Accord.

In order to get the cluster out, we're going to have to remove this entire trim piece. Now, the steering wheel has been removed in a previous video, but even if the steering wheel is still here, you can still perform this exact same procedure. Two screws up at the top to start with, Phillips-head screws. We're going to pop out the cruise control switch here with a screwdriver. A pocket screwdriver might work even better for this.

Disconnect the electrical connection. You'll see a screw down inside there. Now I'm going to pop out the defrost switch. There's another screw down and behind here. With all four screws removed, the panel should come out. Although, you may have some difficulty on this side, because of the clips. I recommend a trim tool, particularly a plastic one, to help you pry this out of the dash.

Now, there's a couple of electrical connections in addition to a cable that connects to the HVAC. To remove the cable, there's a Phillips-head screw at the end of where the cable terminates. After that, you should be able to just slide the cable up off of its mount. One final electrical connection, and the bezel is free. There are four screws holding the gauge cluster in. With the screws removed, pull it forward to gain access to the electrical connectors.

Now you can disconnect the electrical connectors. Sometimes the screwdriver helps. Now you can remove the gauge cluster assembly. And there you have it, gauge cluster removal on a Honda Accord. I'm Eric the Car Guy. Thank you so much for watching. Be safe. Have fun. Stay dirty.
