Hey, guys. This is Matt with www.BleepinJeep.com and, today, we're going to be doing a quick DIY and Drive tutorial with Pull-a-Part used auto parts. Let's get started. All right.

So, today, I want to show you how to pull a used wiper motor. A wiper promoter is what makes these suckers go up and down, across the windshield. Sometimes they go out, so let's pull one. First thing that we need to do, though, is take these off. Take the wipers off. So what you're going to do is lift up on these, and then lock them into place with a flat bladed screwdriver. Now this is on the Jeep Cherokee. Some of them you can just pull them up and they lock in place. Now, you're just going to pull straight out, like that. We'll do the same thing with the other side. All right. Once you got those off, you'll need to remove this part, right here. This is what they call the cowl. So there's some screws, probably about eight of them. We'll just take those out. Once you've got those screws, you can pull this straight out. Now there's some hose, right here. This is where the windshield washer fluid comes out of. So go ahead and pop those off. Oops. Forgot one screw, over here. OK. Now that's out of the way. This is the motor and this is the arm, the actuator, that goes back and forth. Now, we need to remove all this.

All right, next we're going to unbolt these torques bolts, just on each side of these arms here. There we go. We'll do the same thing for the other side. All right. Now you're looking straight down in to here and there's a 10 millimeter bolt, right here, that needs to get undone. Your vehicle might be a little bit different, but just look for anything that can get unbolted. There's also an electrical connection, right here, that needs to be plugged. So let's do that. There we go. And we'll take care of this too. All right. Once you get that bolt out of the way, this thing is pretty much free in there. But there is this bracket, right here, that's going to be on the way. So we need to go in the engine bay and remove that. We'll be able to get it out easier. OK. So there's the motor, right here. We're inside the engine bay and there's these four bolts, right here. You probably don't have to remove them, but getting this thing out of here is already hard enough. This will just make things a little easier.

All right. We got those. For some reason those were Now we're just going to pull these brackets out of the back side, here. All right. One. And I can't even get this one loose, because it is just wedged in there. So I'll get that in a minute. The next thing we need to do is get up on the hood and start trying to do some magic here. Now getting this out of here is, literally, like pulling teeth. Somebody is going to cry. It's either going to be you or the Jeep. So I've got my gloves on. Let's push these down below the holes, and try and fish it out of here. Let's go one direction or the other.

Got it. All right. Well, there is your windshield wiper motor assembly. Putting it back in there is fun too. But I hope you appreciate the video. We'll see you next time, guys. Thanks. Bye.
