HOW TO REMOVE AN INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FROM A FORD MUSTANG

    The first thing we need to do is find the two Phillips screws at the top underneath the bezel.

    Once those are out, remove the headlight switch… by giving it a swift tug.

    Once that’s out there are just four T-15 Torx bit at the corners of the cluster. Take them out, then gently pull the cluster towards you.

    There are two electrical connectors on the back, find the tabs at the top and they should slide right out.

Hey, I'm Eric from Velocity Labs. We'll be doing a quick DIY and Drive tutorial with Pull-A-Part Used Auto Parts. We're going to be pulling the gauge cluster out of this 2004 Ford Mustang. Gauge clusters are one of those things that don't fail very often, but when they do, replacing them is typically the easiest option.

On a '99 to 2004 Ford Mustang, the first thing that we need to do is find the two Phillips screws at the top underneath the bezel. Once those are out, remove the headlight switch by giving it a swift tug. Then take a small flat head screwdriver and gently pry the outer bezel out. Once that's out there, there are just four T-15 Torx bit screws at the corners of the cluster. Take them out, and then gently pull the cluster towards you. There are two electrical connectors on the back. Find the tabs at the top, and they should slide right out.

That's it. You've got yourself a brand-new used gauge cluster.
