Transcripción Del Vídeo

Hey, everybody, Charles from humblemechanic.com back with another DIY and Drive tutorial with Pull-A-Part Used Auto Parts. Today, I'm going to show you how to remove a rear door on a Volkswagen. The tools we're going to need for this job is going to be a ratchet, a number eight triple square, the shorter the better, and of course, a friend to help lift the door.

We want to start by disconnecting the electrical connectors for the door. And in order to do that, we need to pull the boot back right at the B-pillar. That gives us access to two connectors. We're going to need to disconnect those. Now that we have the electrical connectors disconnected, I'm going to go ahead and take off the three bolts that hold the door on. I like to loosen the top bolt with the door shut. That's going to make it easier to remove later. Next, we're going to take out these triple square bolts. Now with the door open, we gain access to the bottom bolt on the door hinge.

Now, before you remove the last bolt, it's a really good idea to find a friend to help you lift the door. Go ahead and pull it away a little bit. There you go. Hey. All right, guys, this is Charles from humblemechanic.com. Thanks for watching. And I will see you next time.
