Transcripción Del Vídeo

Hey, everybody, Charles from HumbleMechanic.com with another DIY and Drive tutorial with Pull-A-Part Used Auto Parts. Today, I'm going to show you how to remove the sunroof glass out of a Volkswagen. The tools you're going to need for this job is going to be a ratchet, an extension, a T20 torques, a pocket screwdriver, and if the manual crank is missing from your car, a 5/32 Allen fits perfectly. Because we're on the salvage yard, we can't simply just open the sunroof with the switch. We're going to take the trim panel down to gain access to the motor, as well as the special tool to manually open it. Next step is to remove the tool from the trim cover and insert it in the motor. You're going to want to crank the sunroof by hand until it's in the full vent position. Next, you're going to remove the trim from the sunroof, and this may be in either one piece or two. After the trim has been removed, we're going to take out the three T20 torques screws. Now, on the third screw, you're going to see the sunroof glass drop down just a little bit, and that's going to be OK. And this is going to be the same for the other side. Once all of your screws are out, you can simply lift the sunroof out.
All right, guys, this is Charles from HumbleMechanic.com. Thanks for watching, and I will see you next time.
